An interesting article is on the Pride Foundation website concerning PFLAG Oregon Central Coast. http://www.pridefoundation.org/filling-in-gaps-in-services-for-lgbtq-people-along-the-oregon-central-coast/2014/11/ Our monthly PFLAG meeting on 2nd Wed, Nov. 12 at 6 pm at St. Stephen’s in Newport will be a panel of transgender people from Lincoln County. Please be there to support and encourage and recognize their courage. And remember that Nov. 20 is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance–help us spread the word about the rights and needs of our transgender family and friends. The membership form on the last page of our newsletter will give you all the info for beginning or renewing your membership–which helps us reach out to the community for support, education, and advocacy. We need your participation to keep this moving forward! Hope to see you at the PFLAG meeting on Nov. 12 or one of the social gatherings found on page 7 of the newsletter.
