Local highlights for the first two weeks of September from the newsletter—mark your calendars now!

Wednesday, Sept. 4:    PFLAG Lincoln City meeting at 6 pm at St. James Santiago Episcopal Church.  LGBT 101 is the meeting and discussion topic,

Fri. – Sun, Sept. 6-8:   Oregon Coast Pride at Chinook Winds Casino.                              Check the website for a full schedule of events–and stop at the PFLAG table!  Oregon Coast Pride  http://www.oregoncoastpride.com/

Wed.  Sept. 11:   PFLAG Newport meeting at 7 pm at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. We will be showing and discussing the film, Holding Families Together

Sat.  Sept. 14 :  PFLAG and the welcoming congregations will host their monthly table at the Newport’s Saturday Market–stop by to cheer us on!

Sun.  Sept. 15:  “Coming Out as a Person of Faith II” at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Waldport from 2-4 pm.  It will be a continuation and deepening of the discussion of the topics discussed at the Coming Out as a Person of Faith presentation in August at three congregations in Lincoln County.                          Video and Followup Discussion — Begin or continue the discussion from August.

Mon. Sept. 16:  National Organization for Women (NOW) Meeting at 7 pm at the People’s Utility District (PUD) 2129 North Coast Highway in Newport.  The public is welcome to attend the meeting.   Oregon Central Coast PFLAG & a LGBT panel will present LGBT 101,
